Resource Conservation & Development
(RC&D)

The Vision: A profitable and positive community through partnerships.

The Mission: To provide tailored education, leadership and support through partnerships addressing specific challenges to revitalize and strengthen our communities.

The Vehicle: Local nonprofit organizations are able to set the direction of the RC&D program through a unique partnership with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The local organizations approve strategies or projects to accomplish their goals. RC&D projects must relate:

  • Land Conservation
  • Water Management
  • Economic Development
  • Community Sustainability

Local: The Wes-Tex RC&D Council is a 501c3 organization and is governed by a sixteen-member Board of Directors.
